What do you think the chances are of Ivan coming up here? Anything out there to turn it north in time?

nhc makes mention of this with the weakness left behind by frances......however.....he is way far south and heading south as we speak.

neweather wizard says yes...few other carolina ***** say yes and everyone else so no dice.

I don't think you'd want Ivan to come up that way. NC has had enough 'Canes not to mention I have an aunt in Raleigh and friends there and I don't want to have to worry about them from way out here in the midwest.

I agree. From the statement weatherwoman made, I would bet she doesn't live on the coast. But then again, maybe she lives on the coast and has never been through one of these. I think someone earlier made a comment about the adreniline for the storm, but once it comes through, the thrill wasn't worth it. I can attest, having been through many hurricanes in my 37 years, right here.

i do live on the coast of north carolina and I like storms have been in plenty of them in my life time had isabelle last year had berta fran floyd dennis bonnie charlie just to name a few. i can see the water from where i set at work and my husband works right on the beach at the condos i live about 7 mile from the ocean the way the crow flies so yea i do like themand i have been in them but that is what weather watching is all about not sunshine if you want to be a metero you have to like storms why else would you want to be one?
