Lauderhill Report: Transformers Arcing, Wind Kickin
I think my power is short lived here in Lauderhill, (few miles NW of downtown Ft Laud). I see blue power arcs from transformers or lines going down. And am now hearing some loud booms. Wind really picking up here again. 1/3 of the county without power, 240,000 customers I just heard.

I just talked to my bro in Pompano Beach. His power is still on, but across the street (north, he is across the street from the beach) power is out. He says the wind is picking up, but out of the west right now. Cell and land line phones still working. He's grilling chicken in a protected breezeway, has his generator ready and tells me not to worry. Uh huh.
