HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT WORTH TX
407 AM CST TUE APR 1 2003

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...
THERE IS AN EXTREMELY HIGH RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FOR ALL OF NORTH TEXAS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF MERIDIAN, SHERMAN, WACO, TEMPLE, MINERAL WELLS, ATHENS, DENTON, PLANO, AND THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH METROPLEX. THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE VERY LARGE HAIL THE SIZE OF GRAPEFRUITS, 100-200 MPH WINDS, VERY HEAVY RAIN, FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING, AND F5 TORNADOES POSSIBLE. AS DAYTIME HEATING EXISTS TODAY WITH GUSTY WINDS, SEVERE WEATHER WILL DEVELOP WITH A LINE OF SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORMS. A PDS TORNADO WATCH MAYBE ISSUED LATER TODAY.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...
THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS LATE THURSDAY AND THURSDAY
NIGHT OVER THE WESTERN PORTIONS OF NORTH TEXAS...AND OVER THE ENTIRE
AREA FRIDAY. A BETTER CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL EXIST ACROSS
NORTH TEXAS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. NO ORGANIZED SEVERE WEATHER IS
EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT GONNA BE NEEDED TODAY BECAUSE GUESS WHAT?
