It's a little early to tell if this is the beginning of a trend. It could just be exploiting an anomoly in the ridge.

I wish we had 5-minute satellite loops, similar to the rapid scans that the NHC has. That way we can monitor every single movement with more accuracy...

The eye of Frances has wobbled W-WNW and W-WSW a few dozen times over the last few days. You can't get a tendency until you can get two fixes at least six hours apart unless it is a dramatic turn.

"Forecast Points" checkbox is at the upper right.

Note that this plot reflects the new forecast, so my discussion above doesn't apply any more.

Also note that she's now wobbling a litte westward again. Still too early to tell if we've got a turn in progress.
