A eyewall replacement has started over the last hour. I expect it to weaken over the next 12 hours. Then regain Tomarrow afternoon.

With the T-numbers at 6.5/6.5, and this vortex message, maybe it will be up to 125kts at 5:00. The eye does look a little more ragged, though.

Frances has three concentric eyewall wind maximas as indicated on San Juan Radar at 5 am ... as a matter of fact, the wind maxima was located on the OUTER EYEWALL ..

INDEED...ON THE LATEST
PASS THROUGH THE SOUTHEASTERN QUADRANT THE HIGHEST WIND WAS IN THE
MAXIMA ASSOCIATED WITH THE OUTER EYEWALL.

imminent eye replacement, with hte concentric eyewalls and rising pressure. Expect a further drop in pressure and a possible increase in windspeed to 145-150 this afternoon.

I expect this hurricane will have its big eye back by the afternoon. With close to cat5.
