I think watches go up when landfall is 48 hours out. Anyone want to confirm or correct that?

Watches mean conditions in 36 hours or less. Warnings mean conditions in 24 hours. Got that from the NHC site.

The definition is within 36 hours of the conditions reaching the coast. I think they'll go out closer to 48 hours though because of the severity of this and the fact a holiday weekend is coming up. I expect them to be issued late tomorrow or Early Thursday and warnings up late Thursday or Early Friday.
