Landfall in Jacksonville

#1 Postby sponger » Tue Aug 31, 2004 11:47 am

If Frances hits jacksonville from the SE, people here will think hell must of frozen over. You talk to people here and they will tell you all about how the gulf stream protects us from hurricanes. Our 45 year run of good luck may have finally run out. To early to call but I would bet this would be one of the most unprepared areas for a land falling Cat 4. Those who havent take heed....prepare now!

I agree, the people here at work, are the least unprepared. All I hear is this is just another scare, it wont come this way. I went through Andrew so I know I won;t stay around.

I agree. After Andrew I said I would never stay for a cat 4. After Floyd and 6 hours of sitting in a parking lot on I95 I said I would never leave. So I think we will hunker down and hope for the best!
