Question for the Pro mets?

After reading the NHC discussion, it is appearing more and more that the ridge it really going to strengthen. Do you see this becoming more of a South Florida threat than here in Central Florida. I definately do not wish this thing on our friends to the south, but just wanted to get some insight even though it is still early.

Not a pro met, but reading most of their posts its looking more and more so.

I'm not sure...but I did notice they bent the track back towards the west a little b/w day 4 and 5. If the trof over the central US deepens more than forecast...it will pump the ridge and that would keep it moving WNW longer.

Right now...everyone in Florida is a target...except Jacksonville...they never get anything :-)

Jax seems to definately be protected unlike the rest of the state. I do remember reading about Dora though Talk about a very unusual path!!

Maybe this monster can somehow duck underneath the keys. Then the people in the gulf are in trouble. Not many good scenarios here for anyone.

Jacksonville is cloaked. Hurricanes can't see it :-)

Haven't figured out yet if the cloaking device is Romulan or Klingon. Either way...its good.

And appreciated from afar. Jacksonville is one of my favorite cities after visiting early this year. As a matter of fact Florida is my #1A favorite state to visit following my #1, Kentucky. My grandma lives there.Image
