12 UTC Euro = into SE FL

#1 Postby Weatherboy1 » Mon Aug 30, 2004 2:13 pm

Yet another model chiming in with the SE FL scenario ... this time, the 12 UTC Euro. Folks, this is not to be alarmist, but IF this trend persists with the overnight runs of the models into tomorrow, FL is going to be in seriously deep trouble.

If you click on Monday and look closely at map, you'll see that Frances has entered the Gulf and is making landfall on the Florida panhandle. How reliable is the Euro model with intense hurricanes?

The Town is watching Frances progress very closely. Should she continue to look as if she may impact us, we will be holding management meetings later this week to finalize our preparations and plan for our response to the community as soon as the event is over. We are very prepared, WB1!
