The facts are scary--based on record-keeping since the late 1800's a cat 4 or stronger moving w/wnw at 26n or S and west of 76W has hit S Fl better than 90% of the time...My point is only use the models to look at the trends...The trend is a Florida Hit possibly directly on S Fl then moving more nw/nnw up the state...It is what it is--so please Prepare!

This is alarmist and uncalled for. The best hurricane forecasters in the world don't know whether or not it is going to hit Florida or anywhere else at this time. Nor do you.

Your claim of 90% Florida strikes is not valid unless you can link us to the research proving it is. Even so, it doesn't mean that Florida will get hit.

In two days people will know much more about where this storm is headed. Can't you wait that long?

I would go a step farther, and say that regardless of the historical trend, the behavior of Frances is governed only by the influential forces at the current time.
