Latest vortex message of 954mb supports a Cat 3 hurricane. Looks like Frances has weakened below Cat 4.......MGC

I'd have to agree, the eye seems to be going through a cycle of sortsm somewhat flattening
out in the latest IR loop

It's pretty obvious on satellite that Frances went through an eyewall replacement cycle today. The eye is getting better defined again and she should wrap up quite nicely now. I fully expect a CAT 4 again tomorrow.
