I'm a 'newbie' as far as posting yet have spent hours following
the posts here as a 'lurker'...What is great about this mssg board
is that you have so many minds working together..What one misses
the other picks up..It is straightforward and at same times blends, humor
empathy and a 'get the heck outta here' atittude..For that I thank all of you!!
...So following the track of Frances with you  I sit out here in
the lower penninsula of MD ..I 'm watching and learning from all
of you..Hey!! Pat yourselves on the back ..your passion helps saves lives!!
Keep it going ..I'm sure that there are many like me that are counting
on the BEST up to date..Yeah ..you really do 'rock' :D

I agree with Ocean Dreamer. I've been hooked on this site since the Friday Charley came down on Fl. I was looking for a hurricane tracker online because my grandmother lives in Cape Coral, I knew she wouldn't leave the house, I was worried and somehow found this place. I flipped back and forth for about 15 minutes between here and the local weather which still had Charlie at a 2 and not becoming a 3 until Saturday. It didnt take long before I realized my grandmother was in trouble; the phone lines were slammed, I couldnt get through and could only hope someone would convince her to leave.

I probably wont contribute much to this forum as I have more questions than opinions and spend most of my time looking up what you all post. (I do better with forensics.)

Ok, there's my first official post......I'll quietly go back to lurking and looking up explanations for 'eye wall reformation', why and when it happens, while I patiently wait for Frances to greet the NC coast.
