Is this a depression trying to form ahead of Frances?

Its worth watching. But there is a a forming tropical depression at 30 north/70 west that looks to be organizing very quickly.

No ... it's a s/w embedded in the choatic mess pulling northward in response to the upper trough being carved out by Gaston's outflow channel ... looking at visible imagery reveals east to west winds under the entire thunderstorm complex ...
