Yeah, I saw this too. The main thing I notice about it is that it has excellent outflow in almost all directions, meaning there is very little shear in this area. It is probably too small currently to develop. The upper levels are pretty complex in this area, so I guess it has to be watched, but I doubt anything comes of it. Just a little disturbance.

What is the rule of thumb? 12 hours of blooming before it's considered to be here to stay? I remember something like this on Gulf BLOB's.

A mid and lower level trough (see WV imagery) moving northward and should get absorbed by our UL trough near 70w. This is part of the weakness the NHC was watching and mentioned a day or two ago north of Hispaniola and should lift out of the way for Frances and the Atlantic ridge.
