UKMET Track Trending Westward

#1 Postby TampaFl » Sun Aug 29, 2004 5:49 am

Alot can happen between now and then, but the UKMET has been trending more to the west and eastern Gulf    . This would not bode well for West Central and Florida as a whole   . Thoughts and comments welcomed.

I am getting more concerned that Frances may arrive too late to turn north around the Bahamas. This could be the big one for Miami - the Floyd that missed them in 1999. Could make Charley look like nothing!

I agree WXMAN57, I am supposed to go to Miami this weekend, but those plans are now on hold untill this track gets more clear, hopefully by Monday/Tuesday time frame. Tampa could also be affected if it enters the Eastern Gulf. Your thought??

I went to the Hurricane Alley website and the long range model shows it going to Mississippi and then moving towards Tennessee.
