A little something to ease the tension...

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Well, I don't remember the name of the song but the lyrics just popped into my head so here it goes...
"Well I was born in the rain by the ponchartrain beneath that Louisiana moon. And I don't mind the strain of the hurricane she comes round every june. With her high black water she's the devils daughter she's hard and she's cold and she's mean. But nobody taught her that it takes a lot of water to wash away New Orleans."
I can't believe I remember all of those words but not the darn title!

FYI...the song was called, "Hurricane", appropriately enough, and it was a country hit for Leon Everette back in the early 80's. 8-)

It's the End of the world as we know it (and I feel fine)- R.E.M.

Song starts out:

That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane and Lenny Bruce is not afraid.
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn - world serves its own needs, dummy serve your own needs.

One of the local radio stations will sometimes do a hurricane theme block when the advisories are flying for my area.
