Just To Say Thank You
After 14 days, Orlando is about back to normal - power outages down to about 175 homes. Thought it has been a great response from FEMA, state agencies, Red Cross & everyone involved. Quite a mobilization effort - really remarkable if you think about it. Probably had many of the nation's disaster gypsies in town over the last 2 weeks - much needed labor. Other state's power companies responded with great speed & willingness. Obviously, Florida's Gulf coast got hit worse but, the efforts in Central Florida over the last 2 weeks have been very impressive. Thanks to everyone who came to our town to help - we appreciate it!!

I'm glad to hear things are looking up! I still can't believe how far Charley traveled across Florida and the path of distruction he left! Here in the cape, we didn't even realize what all Charley caused over there, until people started getting news again, which was pretty late in the evening. My sister's fiancee's daughter lives in Orlando and lost her roof, and was left without electric as well.
