The 12z GFS loop contiunes the model the same track we have seen from the gfs for over 24 hours now. Just north of the islands.
Interestingly toward the end of the loop. It shows two storms emerging and forming near africa, and it shows the storms 'Dancing' until one rips the other apart. lol it was fun to watch!

Like Allen

But this will change again.
Like the ridge that kept Allen heading westward.

IMO
Portastorm wrote:{full body shiver] --- Allen? Ugh, don't mention Allen. That was a downright scary storm.
In my opinion Allen was the ultimate hurricane when it comes to combined size and strength. The storm basically was 500 miles is diameter!!!!

Wonder if Frances will let us know she is getting ready to turn west? The aviation model predicts a classic little swing to the north (usually accompanied by a stall in forward motion) just before the westward swing. A couple extra degrees of north latitude before the turn to the west would make a lot of difference to the northern islands.
