Dear NHC,

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Please move your GOES floater 2 up to Invest 97... *sighs* When there's something to watch, don't like looking at nothing to watch!

Use the GHCC site. YOu can put it where you want it...you can zoom in a lot better...the resolution is better...you can run the loop for as long as you want (up to 30 frames)...AND the pics come in every 5-10 minutes...sometime 15....but certainly not 30 like the floater.

Much better...jsut takes a little more work.

The satellites are controlled by the Satellite Services Division, which is a division of the NWS located just outside Washington, DC, not in Miami where NHC is.
