Going by the NWS prediction that a southwest to west flow is going to be building into south fla at that time....
To me that suggest that this storm is going to be pushed westward beneath that ridge, which is going to be stronger and farther west than originally predicted so...
Fl. Straights -> Daytona...
Anywhere along that "cone of probability" lol

I'd have to agree on the Carolinas. Once Frances gets past the weakening in the ridge and heads to the west-NW early next week, anything that turns the storm towards the NW would mean the piece of land jutting out the most would have the highest threat. That would imply, to me, a hit in the Carolinas a week and a half from now.

No thanks, lol
but in some weird way I think that from sandy hook to nantucket really needs to watch this one. I am not -removed- either, I don't really want a 'cane to hit anywhere.
but I would like to see some surf
of course I think the best odds are an approach on florida, then hooking out to sea just off hatteras and further off the cape. or an approach and hit directly into florida. I dont know about a strike into the carolinas. but we will see how things break down...
My best guess remains same as 2 days ago. either just offshore hatteras to cape cod, or doing a graze but heavy impact somewhere like delaware to long island, nearly backing in.
