Models hinting at Home brew??

#1 Postby ameriwx2003 » Sun Aug 22, 2004 5:26 pm

are the model runs today hinting at some home brew off the Se Coast the next few days.. by no means do they show any powerhouse system but J.B. mentioned this possiblity 3 or 4 days ago it will be interesting to see if anything comes of it:):)

Yeah, I noticed this morning almost every model hints at a low developing on the front just off the SE coast. It looks like the steering currents will be pretty weak until the ridge can crank up a little more out in the western Atlantic. I would definitely keep an eye on this area.

Actually..I just watched that movie a week or 2 ago (own it on DVD).

I'm sure thi is more than anyone cares to know...but my favorite scene is the entire homemade movie of the Mutants of 2054 AD. Classic.

"there was nothing left to do. All of the bowling alleys had been wrecked".

Wait...must...keep...post...weather...related.

I don't see anything stiring up close to home anytime soon. However...one hedge on that...the MJO proportedly will be rotating over to our side of North America soon. That alwys tends to stir up otherwise benign looking systems at the peak of the season.

I wanted to bump this post up to stir up conversation about it again. The past several runs of the Eta have developed a closed circulation by 60-84 hours along the southeastern seaboard. It's exact position has meandered a bit, but it is apparently catching on to something. Among the other models, I've seen anything from an inverted trough along the immediate coastline, to an open wave, to a closed weak system, to nothing at all. If the upper ridge develops to its south, as many models indicate, it should stay out at sea, but if the ridge remains stronger further north, that could give it (assuming there will be an it) enough oomph to meander towards the coast.
