Defiitely a HUGE eye opener for anyone that has never been through a Hurricane, especially a strong one. Hopefully those that haven't ever been through one will learn in abstentia by watching the video and understand just how horribe it can get and take appropriate action if they themselves are ever threatened by a Hurricane.

THAT WAS an AMAZING video of the EYE WALL!!! I saw these a few days ago and was FLOORED by the power that a Hurricane can contain and the damage that it CAN and WILL inflict on the public.

Wow! That's a great site! (now marked as a favorite) The videos are spectacular! What a safe way to watch a hurricane (via someone else's video!) But I can say from experience, that unless you have been there front and center, you will NEVER believe how it feels, smells, sounds and the fear that is within you when you see the full force of the winds or the miraculous calm as the eye passes overhead.

That is so true.. I thought I wanted to see that power first hand and the muscle mother nature can trow around... But sitting in that Tahoe under that overpass during the landfall, has changed that a bit.. Not just for me but Mark and the rest of the team as well... That was a pretty scary moment and something I will not soon forget...

Good way to show why you need to prepare at the beginning of the season every year.. You never know what could happen or when...

You have not seen anything yet.

We have a new project about to unveil on September 1 called "The Hurricane Landfall Project". It will be spectacular and will improve the way we collect data and images forever.

Stay tuned...

Glad you liked the movies...Nature provided the special effects. We were just there.

What were the highest windspeeds you recorded in the video. Maybe its just me but the other videos I have seen (Mostly the one with the gas station being ripped apart) have stronger winds. Nevertheless incredible footage.
