Pivotal point 24N... East coast off the hook 2004????

#1 Postby Anonymous » Sun Aug 15, 2004 9:35 am

I see from my Hurricane tracking chart that both Bonnie and Charley turned around 24N. Looking at History, most storms for the season seem to turn at the same degree North. This would put all but the extreme southeast coast of Fla in the clear from Atlantic storms nd put a major concern for the west coast of Fla from Gomex storms. Any ideas?

Well, so far the Carolinas through the NE HAVE been affected by ALL THREE of these storms. SE Florida may be "off the hook" but I wouldn't discount the East Coast's chances one bit!

I am speaking of an Atlantic Cane... If this holds true, US east coast is off the hook! We're safe from all but Gulf storms!

There is a very very slim chance that danielle could miss the trough. If this happens, we need to watch her closely.
