This has got to be the most poignant tragic article I've read yet from Punta Gorda:

I believe Crystal Lake is just on the east side of I-75 at least a few miles from Charlotte Harbor.

traagic story

#6 Postby dedee4 » Sat Aug 14, 2004 10:31 pm

How very sad. I read in the Orlando paper an interview with the son who said they decided to ride out the storm so they could stay together. My heart and prayers go out him and all the others who are suffering now. :( :( :( :( :(

The posts or stuff said are NOT an official forecast and my opinion alone. Please look to the NHC and NWS for official forecasts and products.

Model Runs Cheat Sheet:
GFS (5:30 AM/PM, 11:30 AM/PM)
HWRF, GFDL, UKMET, NAVGEM (6:30-8:00 AM/PM, 12:30-2:00 AM/PM)
ECMWF (1:45 AM/PM)
TCVN is a weighted averaged

Opinions my own.

Makes a forecaster drive to be better. Somehow, we should have gotten the word to that mobile home community and the elderly. They should be the first to be warned. Just gotta think something else could have been done...
