Vipor tracking models?
Here in Tampa local newschannel 8, uses a new traking model called VIPOR. Which for 5 days out consistently had Charley going just north of Fort Myers. Obviously quite accurate, has any one heard of this?

haven't done a lot of searching on this but did come up with this about vipir

VIPIR
VIPIR is just software designed to track rain and thunderstorms. It has the ability to display forecast models, but on itself does not produce a forecast model.

No, you missed the point - VIPIR is used by the local TV mets to show how smart they are.
And, again, VIPIR by itself is not a predictive tool. It has to be hitched to a model if it is used in that way at all.
