AP: 10 dead in Charlotte County, FL

according to Fox News. That does NOT include deaths in other counties. I think it will go much higher in that county.

Now up to 15 statewide.

After we lost power, we put on the radio and heard a report that a family lost their cat and dog because they put them out in the garage and then started up the generator out there. Pets died of CO poisoning. Also heard this morning that 4 people died as a result of firing up chainsaws against Emergency management advice. They were electrocuted by live wires tangled in trees. People do some silly things in a crunch.

I also heard that the deaths would likely go up in Charlotte County as well. :(
