Orlando_wx where are you?

#1 Postby Eyes2theSkies » Sat Aug 14, 2004 9:12 am

Has anyone heard from Orlando_wx? There was major damage to Orlando, we were so lucky in Ocoee, just NW of Orlando, we got the weak side of the storm and we're thankful for that. We spent the worst of it in the closet with 3 kids and the dog. We got our power back LAST NIGHT!! I think it might have something to do with the fact that living on the next street is an electric company repairman, but I'll take it anyway I can get it. Maybe he just doesn't have power yet, a half million people in Orlando don't.

Glad to hear you're ok. We had a tornado pass over us with the first feeder band. I had never seen one before. It was amazing and terrifying all at once. I was shaking as we all hunkered down in the closet, but luckily it didn't touch down. My husband went to work this morning and he's been giving me damage reports on the way. There's trees down all over Ocoee, the Florida Mall has no power and shattered windows.
