Who heard that BUTTHEAD???

#1 Postby goodlife » Fri Aug 13, 2004 11:24 pm

on nbc-2.com live feed just now?? That caller that they ended up cutting off and hanging up on??
That kinda of thing irritates me to no end...
Storm forecasting is NOT an exact science....
I totally believe every meterologist out there does the best darn job they can do....
If people don't freaking heed the warnings....then they are just plain STUPID...it's NOT the met's fault...

And the one right now who's throwing a fit because it was a Cat4 instead of a Cat1.

"Didn't know it was going to be a Cat 4 until it was almost too late to evacuate"

Goombas. Total goombas. They think this is like a video game? Or an exact science where you can pinpoint it all?

Some people just do not get what it means when you say "Prepare for the worst and hope for the best"

And IMO, there is really NO WAY to get prepared for a CAT 4. You can only do what you can do and evacuate if told to.

I am assuming the guy that called suffered some kind of damage.

I just got back from a 6 hour round trip to remove my boat from the coast of NC. Cost a few $$, but a small invetment. Hopefully nothing will happen and I will be happy if Charley misses a second landfall.

As a Fran and Floyd survivor, I know mets are not perfect. If they all had crystal balls, life would be perfect, but we live in an imperfect world.

I think they do a great job of saving lives!
