CNN and Fox

Yeah in Australia, we watch CNN and Fox for Comic Relief. Totally Unfair and Mentally Unbalanced.

Get a real channel like the BBC, which has done a superior job covering both Charley and Rananim!!

Let the slugging begin

BTW, FOX sucks. They had this English guy on there, and he said something along these lines.

"HEY! Now lets not overstated the situation here in Florida. We get all caught up with phrases like 'Oh the hurricane is crashing ashore...Run for cover!' I think we should take a deep breath and think about the real impacts"

Any news channel that puts an idiot like that on the air is a waste of TV space.

I heard Shep say earlier this afternoon that TD 5 was south of Cuba.

I'll take Fox News over CNN any day. Too much left-bias in CNN for me. Fox doesn't lean so far left...closer to the middle. Plus, they're a lot spunkier. ;)

HD...TD5 is south of Cuba.....and way east. hehe
Gotta love Shep - he rarely goofs! Shame on him this time. :P

Oh my god, you're actually saying that with a straight face? Now the spunkier part I'll agree with, but "closer to the middle"? Bwahahahahaha!

Not that any of that should really matter for hurricane coverage, though I bet we'll be seeing plenty of majestic shots of George Bush consoling the voters of Florida on Fox (and later in the polital ads).

Don't let fox off the hook lol. I'm as big a fan of foxnews as anyone, but they're headline story on foxnews.com has a tropical storm watch in virginia and a warning on long island lol.

It's pretty obvious where those who want to get comforting platitudes rather than real news go to get their pablum.

Much of this whole country lives in abject denial of the truth.

Did you all Fox News news lovers see my post about a reporter on there saying Charley had 100mph and was a Cat 1, while it was south of Cuba, while it only 85 to 90mph winds at the time?
Oh, last night Shepard Smith say the damage wasn't as bad as expected?

Anyway, it really comes from your point of you view whether each newschannel is bias in their newsreporting.
