Observations of systems around Hurricane Charley

#1 Postby ColdFront77 » Fri Aug 13, 2004 11:44 am

Others probably won't see this, thus not agree or may believe what I am about to mention isn't true, but here goes.....

There have been pressure rises in the central and/or south central Gulf of Mexico in the last few hours and ridging or
what appears to be ridging has taken place from the Atlantic toward the Jacksonville, Florida area.

The frontal system across the Gulf of Mexico is expected (which is of course common for August at this latitude... and
perhaps pivot like the weakening cold front did in this location.

Perhaps this possible "pivoting of the front" is in repsonse to the slight ridging?

What does everyone think of that?

The pressure at my location rose from 29.92 in. around 2 AM to 30.01 in. at 2:00 PM. This is indicative of anything to anyone along with what I mentioned above?
