Deadly Tornado's! Those of you that think 40-50 kt winds are all you might see from this storm please look at this.....

Yup, this may unfortuantely be repeated again before this mess is over...

Anyone hear if NC is firing up the EOC??

Hearing nothing here in blissfully ignorant Charlotte...

Isnt it more likely that this is residual activity from Bonnie? Horrible tragedy regardless of which storm caused it.

A couple counties in Eastern NC had hurricanes spotted as late as 8 am this morning. These were the result of the remnants of Bonnie.

I am a few miles east of where the tornado hit. 3 dead including a 18 month old. 25 -30 homes / mobile homes damage some totally destoryed. When the storm came though about 4:00 this morning it was pretty wicked. The damage is located at exit 408 of I-40 about 1/2 mile east of the interstate on NC-210. :( :( It is going to be a rough weekend in ENC.

As of a few minutes ago, official numbers were 3 dead, 25 injured. This occurred in Rocky Point about 1/2 mile east of exit 408 on I-40 along Hwy 210. The thunderstorm was one of the worst I've ever been in. I live 1.25 miles west of exit 408. It was strange, my wife and I felt there was a tornado but never heard it. It was just different. Please pray for thos families affected.
