Gov. Bush projects...

a minimum of 11 billion dollars damage from this storm... I believe this is only concerning the coastal properties damaged by storm surge.

Thats really not a very credible estimate IMHO. For a small sized storm striking the coast at such an angle. Either way, predicting dollar damages when the cone of coastal landfall is so wide is ignorant.

Not that I am a fan of the governor (though he isnt that bad), he doesnt just make those statements on his own. Someone is giving him the data, probably even wrote the speech for him. Cut the guy some slack. It's not like someone will crucify him if he's wrong. Though I heard out in Vegas this week that they were projecting damage estimates to equal Andrew....
