This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Good morning from the hurricane zone.. :)

Good morning S2ker's..

Just wanted to let you know I slept well and am now just waiting for Charlie or his punch to arrive..

I have been watching the local Fox affiliate all morning.. This is what he said..

There are 3 possibilities Charlie could do:

1. Forecast track to make landfall in Tampa Bay and go through Polk, Lake and Sumter County

2. Make landfall somewhere south of there and then shoot left to right across Central Florida.. This would give me even worse conditions than already expected

or even 3. The storm somehow paralells the coast and heads to North Florida

He said 1 is probable and 2. is potential but not likely {25 percent chance}

He said it all depends when Charlie makes his jerk to the right..

Anyway.. I also think the local mets are downplaying my threat here in Osceola County. They talked about the tornado watch.. But 1 local met says winds will not reach hurricane strength.. but another says they will with gusts over..

I personally still think I'll see winds of at least hurricane force.. Feel free to comment on it.. :)
