Charley question

#1 Postby Cookiely » Fri Aug 13, 2004 8:11 am

What happens when the cold front coming down and Hurricane Charley merge? Does it increase the strength of Hurricane Charley or weaken it?
I live in Tampa.

Won't happen. Tampa will get hammered. Expect winds well over 100 mph, major storm surge flooding and major flooding from rainfall. I hope your prepared. Charley won't merge with the front until he's long gone from Florida.

Dear Brent,
Thank you very much for the information. My mama and I are prepared. We are just monitoring the situation and waiting. I'm a little concerned because there isn't a safe room in the house. I'm more worried about tornados than the hurricane itself.
