Hello Tampastorm, and I wish you the best because the worse is cooking just 80 WSW of Key West. It now sure looks like your area will be hit hard and please stay in a safe area, or evacuate. Fortunately, Miami will just get sure squally weather, heavy rain and some gusty winds but nothing that is forecast for you.

Tampastorm, Raimband -- I agree, it surely isn't looking good. Please know you and your families are in the thoughts and prayers of many.

Good luck Rainband. Make sure you keep all the birth and insurance papers dry.

Yikes, you FLorida folks kept begging for a storm. I kept saying that this storm was turning, or that storm was turning. Now it looks like you'll get one. Even though I wanted to go thru a storm here in Houston, when Lili was sort of pointing my way as a Cat 3/4 I changed my mind. That's too strong.

Well, from what I'm looking at this morning, Tampa still looks like a good bet (actually, we've been saying Clearwater for 2 days), which is worse for you, Rainband. If it does go right over that area, prepare for a long period of no electricity - maybe a week or two. Probably no generators left at Home Depot now, but get one if you can find one. I won a generator at the local hurricane conference here in May. Use anything you can to store water in. Get boards on your windows, not tape.

Just pray for a sligh deviation to the left into the less populated area of the peninsula.

Stay safe, Rainband (and others there).
