Conditions in Sarasota *Update 8:30am*

#1 Postby chris_fit » Thu Aug 12, 2004 9:08 pm

I will keep you guys posted on changing conditions here and will try to post pictures as well.

I have Internet access through my laptop / cell phone so i will try to keep you guys informed when the storm hits and when power is out.

10:10pm. Right now dead as a nail. No wind, can't see the stars anymore looks like Charley's high clouds are overhead. Still lots of people out on the roads. Very Humid and just nasty outside. Truly a tropical atmosphere.

7:30am. Just woke up. It's dead. No one on the roads, No wind. The clouds are in and very ominous looking. Very Muggy. It's wet outside as it rained overnight. News channels are going nuts "It's STILL coming" Update again once stuff starts happening. Stay safe Tampa people!!!

8:30am. Weather still the same. Went out took some pics this morning. http://my.fit.edu/~kgorczyn/Charlie/

Stay safe.... just a little heads up about the cell from experience. When things get bad, you may loose the cell phone. We loose ours before we even loose our land lines.

All those pics were within 1.5 miles of my house, maybe less.
