Gulfstream jet flying tonight at 0000z around Charley

#1 Postby cycloneye » Wed Aug 11, 2004 10:11 am

FLIGHT THREE -ADDED
A. 12/0000Z
B. NOAA9 0503A CHARLEY
C. 12/1730Z
D. N/A
E. N/A
F. 43,000 TO 45,000 FT

This will be extremely important because this plane will collect data from 45,000 feet around the perifery of the system to see what upper patterns are out there to steer the system to any direction more early or more late and the information will be factored in by the global models in the tonights 00z runs and then they willl show new tracks for Charley.

No by the 5 AM as the Globals by then will be out with the 00z run because at the 2 AM it is an intermidiate advisory and the tracks are not updated at that one but all the data from the models are then analized before that 5 AM.BUT the tropical models BAMM,Bamd, may be factored in with the information so if you are up at 6:00 UTC you may see the tropical models first with the tracks updated with the jet data.
