While all the attention is very focused on Bonnie and Charley and right to do so but take a peek to the east and look what is comming out.At least there are 2 systems that may develop one is in the water now South of the Cape Verde Islands and the other about to emerge West Africa.

Wow, Danielle could be on the horizon! Plus the wave that's right south of the Cape Verde Islands isn't too shabby either.

We're still in a dry MJO phase, so I wouldn't expect these waves to last very long after exiting the coast,

Actually, several of the globals I looked at today kinda latch on to the lead wave SSW of the Cape Verde Islands now ... the GFS and NOGAPS close off a circ. around 50-55ºW in about 3-4 days ...

These waves are currently traversing pretty far south right now ... appearing to be around 9ºN, well into some warmer SST's, but the mean trade winds are still quite strong ...

Pressures in Senegal today down to 1005-1008 mb, and that's a bit NORTH of the wave about to come off.

Wow. When we were held scoreless after 2 months, and down 6-0, I knew that we could eventually come back. But dang, this fast?! The Olympics are awesome, but I've got a feeling that won't be getting ALL the attention this August. Look out, E-Pac, HERE COMES THE ATLANTIC!!! :P
