Word of caution here. don't use ir sat pics to determine which way a storm is heading. It is a picture of cloud tops and not actual visible clouds. Tops move differently than the whole mass of clouds underneath them. Not disagreeing, just saying use your visibles(at least during the day) to determine direction of movement if you want to check it on sat pics.

does appear to have more of an eastward component to it, I still believe the center is moving more NE than ENE....but this could change!!

Yes, she has moved more eastward than anticipated. We will have to see if this is just a wobble or an actual overall direction. If so, they will have to move watches/warnings further eastward and down the peninsula toward Tampa, FL.

It did move more ene, last coordinates were 25.9n 90.3w and now 26.2n 89.5w You can easily see the ene movement on a tracking chart, although it could be just a wobble or re-position of the center. If I remember correctly Earl kept doing this which eventually moved him into a landfall east of PC.

Can't argue with those numbers Dean. I still stand by my caution about the sat pics though.

And the very latest recon put her at 26.6N, 89.45W, so perhaps the ENE jog has ended.
