Where and when for the next set of watches?

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Wed Aug 11, 2004 10:15 am

Where and when do you think the next set of hurricane watches/warnings for Charley will go..?

I'm thinking no later than 11pm tonight and I'm thinking hurricane watches on the West Coast of Florida from Tampa Bay down to around Ft. Myers..

Thanks John...I think anywhere from Tampa to Ft. Myers is gonna have landfall for Charley...then he tracks more or less northeast and gets back into the atlantic around Cape Canaveral.

Am I the only one on this board living in the Keys? I will keep everyone informed of any strange weather. The schools will be closed until Monday or until further notice. I really am not shedding a tear since I work for the school district. This gives us time to get our own houses in order. I will keep in touch.

Schools in Collier Co. (Naples) don't open until next week but Lee Co. (Ft. Myers) opened on Monday. Haven't heard of any closings yet but it's a little too soon.

Interestingly enough I just checked the Collier Co. Emergency Management website and there is zippo info since last Monday. Must be saving up for one big web update.

The Local Mets here in Naples keep pointing to a Landfall North of Ft Myers Fl. I think they are Full of IT. I'm thinking further West with each passing hour.
