What if...
Charley is clipping along briskly at 25mph, yet it continues to get stronger. Someone tell me what happens if Charley slows down and stalls somewhere in western Caribbean or southern Gulf. Is there a possibility of the trough lifting out and the ridge building back to the west eventually steering Charley for landfall further west that forecast under those circumstances. NHC says "the question is - when will the turn occur". Also, they stated that "THE GFS AND GFDL HAVE SHIFTED WESTWARD..." in the 10PM advisory. I appreciate your thoughts.

Possible that Charley will move further West than currently progged, but not too probable, unless he doesn't slow down soon like within 24-36 hours. If he makes the Yucatan Channel then things could change significantly if he has not slowed. Not thinking it will happen, just saying it is in the realm of possibilities.
