Low Latitude Tracks

#1 Postby flyingphish » Tue Aug 10, 2004 9:29 pm

Amazing stuff eh? A few days ago..so much doubt. Now it seems there may be a lower latitude production line in place. Just low enough to get under the belly of the trough..and persistent. My concerns go out to the lower latitudes this season. Living in S. Fl. is pretty good (except when trends like this develop.) Hope the folks in Jamaica are attuned. Worst of all..it's not even mid August. Hope Charley is a good firedrill and nothing more!

Are you saying that you believe that the trough may not pick up Charley? I thought that the path was pretty well set as to being picked up and heading up towards Florida. I find everyone's ideas so interesting and I'm certainly not a professional at this. I just found this idea of a "low latitude" interesting.

The trough owns Clarley, it could even lift it out to fish land if Charley was to slow down a bit.

Charley is the real deal and there may be more. The trough I speak of tends to deflect systems away from the east coast of America that come in north of (15 degrees north for arguments sake.) Systems that can penetrate the Carribean sea at lower latitudes will tend to steer west or meet frontal boundaries arriving from the west. In the case of this season..it appears..for now that there are a few more low latitude systems coming that will penetrate the Carribean. Hope this helps.
