Two storms within one week...that sucks.
Having web server issues with the school's firewall, so my main website is down. Here's the temporary link to the forecast only.

Message from Jamaica !!
This is from Stormcarib.com and is a message from earlier this late afternoon and from reading this persons message looks like the officials at least until this afternoon were not too worried. But I guess that all has changed tonight as I see a hurricane or going over them or brushing that island.I hope that the people are preparing rapidly because they dont have much time until tommorow morning.
I currently live in Kingston, Jamaica. Currently, we are not experiencing any winds or rains in Kingston due to TS Charley. I do expect that to change over the next 24 hours as the storm approaches. The storm is not being taken seriously here…..YET. I went shopping to prepare for the storm (water, bread, nonperishables, batteries, etc.) and the stores were completely empty. Lots of stock on the shelves but no shoppers in the stores – so I loaded up since Jamaica is known to lose power and water at the slightest breeze and not restore it for several days. The radio broadcasts are warning of the storm heading our way. My family is prepared to ride it out – although it is still unclear at this time exactly where TS Charley is heading. I will keep you posted should the weather conditions deteriorate.

ULL forming ahead of Chuck
Currently centered over Caymen Islands. ULL looks to be moving slowly westward. Charlie might catch up to ULL and get sheared. Charlie still moving around 25mph so he might catch up to it in another day or so. This posibility and land interaction with Jamica might limit Charlie's intensity......MGC

Sadly as I can see in this Jamaican weather page they have'nt updated their tropical storm warning yet, and are expecting Charlie to become a hurricane after it has passed their area, when it reach the northwestern Caribbean by late Thursday...(from their webpage)...On its current track, the centre of Tropical Storm Charley is forecast to be close to Jamaica’s south coast by tomorrow morning and is expected to pass very close to the south of the island, during the day on Wednesday. The system is then expected to intensify into a hurricane over the northwestern Caribbean by late Thursday.

Actually I don't know for sure if this is an official Jamaican weather site...I found it looking in my search engine so if you guys have another, please post it here so everybody can see their reports about their situation. If I find another weather link or an oficial goverment weather site I will post it later. If someone have a webcam link or something related to Jamaican weather please post it.
Any Jamaica resident arround?? If there if anybody from there please log in and tell us what's going on there!
Cycloman.
i can tell you what happens...word spreads that a system is coming...if you have the money and supplies you prepare, if you dont like most people you batten down the hatches best you can and come outside when it is safe, these buildings have survived many systems just like in the bahamas. obviousely a major hurricane is a huge problem but 1's and 2's not a major deal.

Sorry Brent but have you had an oppertunity to read Derek forecast? He mentions the ULL. I posted about it before I read his post.... Sure it might be providing an outflow channel right now but just wait and see what happens if Chuck runs under that UL. I'm sure you're smart enough to know that though...MGC

Try again.
That's right it has been. I believe they have been moving in tandem. Not sure if Charley will catch it but it doesn't look like it. The ull appears to be moving off to te West while Charles is moving WNW and ultimately NW. I believe the ULL has been helping the system to this point and if the ULL drops to Charlies SW from what I remember this can really serve to enhance it even further.
