Hmmmmmmmm........ We might have a hurricane by the 10 P.M. advisory. We will just have to wait and see.

Is it possible it will make it to hurricane strength really soon? I seem to remember that small storms can change in intensification really quickly, but the pressure takes time to adjust.

Im not sure if this will become a hurricane soon, but i think it might do more than what we think it is.

Steve Lyons said at 6:50pm that it could become a hurricane tonight, but could also after that pulse down to a weak storm. He says because it's small it can fluctuate wildly.

Yes Brent that is true small systems can spin up rapidly or weaken rapidly it all depends on the conditions it gets if they are favorable, marginal or less favorable in a given moment.

Remember Iris from a few years back? She even had 3 eyewalls briefly as she reached 140 mph and was a very small yet deadly storm. Those small systems also can be much more easily disrupted by wind shear than larger systems. Should be an interesting week ahead indeed!
