Well, how 'bout that ... potential, potential, potential ...
for development that is ...
First, let's cover the GOM ... in which the GFDL develops the system into a minimal hurricane and recurving NE with landfall on the FL Panhandle and swinging rapidly NE through lower GA, and SC before rocketing off the North Carolina coast and out to sea ...
Latest visible imagery may be seeing the signs of some LLS in the region and the high heat potential in that region makes this something to watch ... right now, IMHO, this does have a chance of regaining tropical cyclone status ... but I don't have time (at work on lunch) to put together the product I want to ...
Second, 93L ... an impressive looking wave on IR, and VIS ... although, there's no SFC circ detected ... saw the special report of a 53 mph wind gust earlier from Barbados I believe ... RECON is scheduled to investigate this tomorrow ... and IF they go out and find a closed circ., more than likely (if it maintains its structure), will likely skip depression status ...
One thing to note however, is again, the fast motion, yet again ... and could spell trouble for the system trying to close off something. The GFDL takes this to around 90 kts (at the SFC - 99 kts , 100M off the SFC) ... and places it near the Western Tip of Cuba at the end of the 6z 08.09.04 model run today ...
Guidance also toys with another system poised to come off of Africa ...
Things are picking up ...
