Hi all! I've been lurking for quite some time and finally thought I'd put my one cent's worth in. What effect would this trough, that is forecast to come south like this past weekends, do to the 93-L in the long run? Would it turn it north and then east or would it slip under it? I know its all about timing but I'd like to hear what you all think. Nice to be here.

I don't know if the trough can get far enough down to influence 93L especially since 93L is pretty far south. We'll have to play the waiting game to know for sure.

That trough and 93L are probably never going to meet. 93L is in the Southeastern Caribbean and will take at least 5 days to get near that trough which would in all likelyhood be washed out/gone by the time it gets close enough for interaction. I have been proven wrong before, but that is how I see it.

And welcome to S2K!!

Yes.. As Marshall said it should depend on how far South the system stays for now.. It is rather far south (interacting with SA as we speak) It could sneak under it.. But would seem an eventual NE turn could be in its future some where down the road.
