I dont recall to many cold fronts in early Aug passing through CC Tx and was wondering, if something did spin up which way would the thing go, best guess?

Toward Floridia? Because I want some surf dang it.

Anything developing in the GOM this coming week from this point today would likely get caught up in the westerlies and head NE from New Orleans eastward would be the best bet. But, whatever develops will also have to deal with this westerly shear and may not amount to much more than a TS. But like always, things could change.
