Hawaiin hurricanes...

Besides Iniki, what other hurricanes have formed in their "season" I think it is kinda dumb that they get their own season, nothing really forms.

Yea, but the Central Pacific has plenty of other storms. In 2002 there were 3, in 2000 there were 2, 97 saw 3... T.D.s form there occasionally. It needs its own basin, though it could just as easily be part of the East Pacific.

Cen Pac gets a lot of activity in true Strong El Nino years.

Here's an archive with storm descriptions:

Iniki formed from the African wave just AFTER Andrew, interestingly enough.

A storm has to follow a specific path to damage Hawaii because of SSTs; stay well south, and suddenly turn more or less due N once it's south of Hawaii.

Completely inaccurate.

The CPAC does get its share of storms. Does everyone forget Jimena last year?

And most do form or move into the region during the season
