I think we've well established on the board that the wave would move westward if it couldn't develop.
This is the final forecast, pending regeneration.

Alittle rest I think is what everyone needs after yesterday. We had quite a bit of action on the Outer Banks. As for the Depression, which looks more like it could be downgraded to a tropical wave, especially given that fast westward motion if in fact that continues.

JB seems to think that the depression is done. He says it's moving way to fast and there is going to be too much shear. He says the one to watch (although not looking impressive now) is behind TD #2 that's just exititng Africa. He says with the pattern the way it is he thinks it could be a threat to the US mainland in 8-12 days. That's a pretty bold statement, but hey, it's JB.

8-12 days? And just coming off Africa? That's a fast moving wave...

We will have something else more likely closer to the mainland to watch within that time frame..Rementants of the expected cold front hanging over the GOM and Atl is always interesting this time of year..Home cooking isn't over yet either.. 8-)

it will have to move alot slower than the last one did. a good piece of info.
alex formed in aug from an upper low basically north of 30n. that can be a sign of a slow cv season. time will tell on that however.
