I talk to my local Meteorologists and friend of mine, John Morales, about the possibilities of a U.S. impact and he was completely sure that the trough will be enough to push the system away from the U.S coasts.

Funny thing is that nobody can be completely sure about anything regarding the tropics!

Banking on Strong Trough

All I can say is its Summer and IF it surprisingly make it under the trough we have a new game. I have seen many similar situations where the Bermuda high has won thus I will watch for now even though I am in Houston. Andrew was a lesson well learned when he turned back W which just goes to show it can happen. Personally I see a N turn up ahead.

With the NHC saying that the low and mid level circulation may be further south of the satellite indicated position I think I'll wait before I write this one off :-)
